Yesterday we had the supreme pleasure of hosting Liberty’s founder, Randy Jeffers, along with founding members John Shaw and JR Read as well as Los Angeles Liberty superstars Danny and Karla Pacheco for an all-day seminar/training session at the Waikoloa Marriott here on the Big Island.

Tanya Anne started us off with a heartfelt welcome; it’s clear this business has changed her and her family’s life, and she was obviously filled with emotion and gratitude for the overwhelming growth here on the Big Island since she brought it here six months ago. Hundreds of people showed up for the unusual treat of meeting Randy Jeffers and his crew – even so, it felt more like just a big family in that hotel ballroom, with lots of familiar smiling faces, hugs and aloha. Of course, that’s what life is like anyway here in Hawaii – maybe that’s why this business is so successful here. We tend to reach out and support our family, friends and neighbors in this small, remote place – so a people-helping-people business is not a stretch by any means.

I for one was not disappointed. Mr. Jeffers proved himself to be an approachable, compassionate person who spent a large portion of the day up there speaking, telling stories and answering questions – ANY question, in fact. I was pretty surprised how open he was to clearly state his intentions for the business, explain why he’s doing it and even all kinds of technical issues. Of course one never knows for sure who a person really is inside, but from what I could sense in that room yesterday, Mr. Jeffers is a sweet, kind, open and honest man who cares deeply about his growing ohana (us!), his wife and son, our country – and even expressed his intention to create hope for orphans in third world nations.

Mr. Jeffers appeared first in a suit and tie – he joked about being the only person dressed like that on our entire island, and he was probably right about that, so he changed into the appropriate Hawaiian shirt after a break (John Shaw following suit, no pun intended), which frankly fit his low-key, casual demeanor better anyway.

One of his first topics was, as he said, to explain five things that will never change in this business - “over my dead body,” he vowed. First, the compensation plan. Trust me – it’s unique, and if you think you know what network marketing is – well, you really don’t until you understand his point. Liberty International has paid out more money to more people in the shortest amount of time than any other company in the history of this industry. That in itself is frankly shocking – most network marketing companies pay out 25-30% of their profits to its members; Liberty pays out a staggering 80%. (In fact Mr. Jeffers related a conversation years ago with a state attorney general, who pointed a finger at him and said scornfully, “nobody deserves to be making the kind of money your people do.”) Now that it’s feasible to have a completely virtual, paperless company, the lack of any major corporate expenses – including advertising - makes that possible, though Mr. Jeffers indicated this has made him unpopular not only with other industry executives, but also people in our government. We’re just glad he’s maintained his rights and freedom to do this anyway.

Keep in mind another very important part of this compensation plan: technically Liberty is not an MLM; we make 100% of all commissions all the way down our lines no matter how far they go. This is also unheard of in this industry. One person asked how we could know if the company would still be around in a few years; Mr. Jeffers claimed, not only is it working out in the numbers, but that “I’m a lifer;” he isn’t doing this for the money (he’s already set, believe me!), but to reach out and help provide financial freedom to the greatest number of people. He was ashamed of other similar companies who either intentionally rip off their members – or even start up, with the intention of folding as soon as they’ve made their money. Also, for those concerned about ramifications from the Vonage lawsuit, he told us the technology we use is not the same as that which is causing the patent infringement lawsuits. So that was also good to hear – as was their continuing development of new technology, including wireless. New and improved products are on the horizon - this is important to me, as I continuously read about the rapid changes in the VoIP industry.

The second thing he vowed would never change is the other unique offering, never replicated by any other business: buy one, sell three and get yours free. This works for any autoship order through Liberty, including and most importantly the monthly VoIP phone service. It’s a clever idea, if you think about it; most network marketers actually recruit less than two people, but if we work to find at least three, not only does the company grow faster but as far as numbers go, our potential earnings can soar. And the model can easily stop there – unlike other network marketing companies, we aren’t forced to continue recruiting to start making good residual income, with absolutely no monthly expenses or fees AT ALL. (On the other hand, we have the option to build our businesses as big as we want to, which was his fourth promise; not to skip the third, which is to pay commissions six days a week – another first for the industry.)

His fifth promise is to always do things the right way. Apparently the ethics of this way of doing business is important to him; he took pains to separate himself and the company from other well-known network marketing companies who have left a bad taste in the mouths of many who’ve been burned. He seemed intent to clarify his intention of remaining ethical, honest and above-board with all his representatives. He mentioned something that someone from another company wrote, “fake it till you make it” - and scorned this way of thinking. He repeated the importance of doing it for the right reasons, and spent a lot of time on this issue. Rather than being intense and hard-edged about anything, his warmth and even softness were frankly more reassuring. He came off as a favorite uncle, not a big CEO. Either he’s an excellent actor or he really means what he says. The fact that he opened up to questions – any and all – for two hours showed, at least to me, the depth of his commitment to this point. He had nothing to hide, there was no hemming and hawing, no unanswered questions and no excuses. Thanks to his great team from Los Angeles, even all technical issues were well addressed.

Mr. Jeffers continued with many inspiring ideas, such as setting specific goals in writing and how important it is to take the time to determine how much time and energy one is willing to give – and then follow through. He stressed the importance of getting out of debt (hence, the Debt Liberator compensation plan!) - not using credit cards, saving money and even putting a little aside to help others. I for one will continue working until I am able to follow through with all his wisdom! Liberty International is a debt-free company and I hope some day I will be too!!

For part of the day we split into groups, each led by either JR, John Shaw, Danny or Karla Pacheco or our own island rising star, Nelson Ray Parker. Karla talked about attitude, commitment and action; she said the key is to always be learning, sharing and teaching. She recommended Tim Sales site, www.brilliantexchange.com, as well as all the materials from their own site, www.acceptsuccess.net. She offered their video phone number, inviting any and all to participate remotely in their opportunity meetings in LA. Her leadership and dedication were apparent – thanks for coming, Karla! We all like to see successful women in business.

Nelson told us of a very exciting project he’s working on here in Hawaii called the Green Room. He and friend Steven Schwarz of www.808classifieds.com are installing eight video phone lines in an office here, so we can have our mainland friends and family tune in to opportunity meetings remotely! That is a very important development that will greatly aid the expansion of all our businesses into the mainland. Mahalo, Nelson and Steven, for all your hard work.

I can see why Danny Pacheco has become so successful with his business in LA – and why he’s so popular there! He’s smart, quick-witted, funny, outgoing and incredibly well-versed in all the ins and outs of this business. He gave all kinds of great information to help build our businesses, and his energy and enthusiasm were infectious. We’re also grateful that John Shaw lent us his wisdom; he was willing to talk out issues with people, and even gave out his personal phone number, vowing to stay accessible to us anytime. That level of personal dedication was gratifying. We sure appreciate your knowledge and support, Mr. Shaw!

Of course we have to thank JR Read - our island has certainly reaped the rewards of his unfaltering support. For months he’s been driving hours and hours all over the island – as well as flying to the other islands - to give presentations, build a training center and support us. Of course, as he reminds us, Hawaii isn’t such a bad place to be – but JR, we understand what you’ve given to us here, and though we know you won’t stay forever, you’ll always be welcome here as one of us.

If anyone has anything they’d like to add about their experience, feel free to leave a comment here. Thanks again to everyone for such a great day.

The American Dream?

How much money do you have in the stock market? If you’re heavily into it you might be nervous about the economy right now. Maybe you’re in it for the long haul; this is just one downturn, right? It’ll get better; it always does. On the other hand, ever think about what’s going to happen when the baby boomers start hitting retirement in large numbers in the next couple of years? The government will be paying out the equivalent of the cost of Katrina’s damage in social security every month. How have they done with Katrina?

Maybe you don’t have any investments, outside of maybe a house, and don’t get me started on the housing market right now; or maybe you’re living paycheck to paycheck, wondering how on earth all those rich people got to be that way. What happened to the “American dream”?

Rich people know how to leverage themselves; that is, how to make money on other people’s work, like CEOs of large corporations do. They also take risks; wealthy businessmen get that way by buying or investing in industries they gamble will be profitable.

One of the largest industries today is technology; telecommunications is the backbone of our new global society, and that alone is a $1.3 trillion industry. Advancements are being made every day, as the pace of the growth increases at an ever quickening rate. Just think about what computer you were using even five years ago. Shocking, right? Does investing in this industry seem risky? Where do you think you’d be today if you’d gotten in on the ground floor of the cell phone? Have you done much research on VoIP? It’s already replaced land lines in millions of businesses and households around the world. It’s coming whether we like it or not.

No, you don’t have to invest anything extra just to get excellent phone service, and even a cool, affordable and futuristic video phone, with the Global Freedom phone.

On the other hand, a savvy investor might recognize that for the price of about a month of your present phone bill, or maybe dinner at a fancy restaurant or a plane ticket, you can get a piece of a booming industry, before the transformation is complete in just a few years. At the very least it’s a tax deduction – and most people make back their investment and a lot more within just a few weeks, or even less. At the most you’ll be increasing the wealth of your own community, rather than continuing to line the already bursting pockets of an elite few. We’re already seeing that happen here on a remote, rural and sparsely populated island, which in four months has spread the word from one to several hundred people, not to mention 15 other states, and made over $750,000. This business model is reactivating the American dream for a lot of people – it’s the way things should be.

Friends of mine started doing this four months ago and are already able to retire on their passive income. Of course everyone’s experience will be their own, but this is spreading rapidly because people recognize the opportunity of investing in a utility – if a few hundred people could provide enough to retire on, just imagine the millions of people who will be switching over to VoIP in the next few years, whether they realize it now or not. Right now my friends are trying to figure out how to get their children signed up because they figure it’ll be like having a trust fund.

What does this tell you? That you should run the other way because you might have to step out of your comfort zone? That this might be a scam and I’m not spending my hard earned money on something I don’t understand and can’t be bothered to investigate? That I don’t have time to worry about this now; I’m too tired and busy from working two jobs?

My friends are laughing at me because I’m known to be a hermit writer, and this has gotten me up and out of the house a little. It’s not something they’d ever imagine I’d do; frankly, neither do I! But as with anything else, I sense right away with my gut, in my spirit, whether it feels right or not - and with this one it said, go grab it, quick – the American dream is back with a vengeance!!

Not MLM

If you’re scanning the blogsphere for info on VoIP, just know there’s a new kid on the block. As more and more VoIP providers bite the dust in this rapidly advancing and super-charged competitive new arena, people are going to start hearing about the Global Freedom phone. The service itself is high quality and the customer service is friendly, quick to respond and not outsourced. The prices are highly competitive too.

And their customers are a very loyal bunch. What other VoIP provider gives their own clients the opportunity not just to get the service for free, but to get in on the ground floor of an emerging technology? How many times have you had the chance to invest in a phone company for as little as $149 and have the potential to make $1 million per year? Of course that will take time but – VoIP is coming – rapidly. And to make that happen, get in early. There’s no question VoIP is the next step in the advancing field of telecommunications – whatever bumps and issues are out there now will get worked out. Too much money is riding on it.

In this age of failing economies, inadequate health care, skyrocketing education costs and rumors of social security disappearing, the question becomes, are you going to continue to pay your hard-earned money to companies that waste 80% of their profits on wasteful and annoying advertising, or are you going to help establish a way to improve the quality of life in your community? That is already happening here on the Big Island, a place that sorely needs it. A month ago I reported that our low-income community of Puna, where this started in Hawaii, had made over $300,000 already; now, it’s skyrocketed to over $750,000. WOW. We have a lot of respected community leaders in on this because once you really understand the compensation plan, it’s hard to turn down. It’s not an MLM so don’t get caught up in what you think this is. Do a little research. You owe it to yourself and your family.

The Paradigm is Shifting

Corporate America can no longer be trusted to take care of us; in fact some might say they’re robbing us blind. Gone are the days of loyal, 40-year careers with one company. People are losing their jobs right and left as companies go overseas; millions go without health insurance, and social security is in danger of disappearing altogether, while mega-wealthy corporate elites line their pockets. They control everything - from politicians to the economy, to the commercials that influence what you buy, to the pitiful salary you earn trading time for money - all to make themselves even wealthier. Interest rates go up and stocks fall; people lose their houses.

The rich get even richer.

How long are people going to be loyal to this antiquated business model, not to mention the products themselves, when there are honest, ethical, people-helping-people businesses out there trying to tell you they’re willing to share the wealth that is created when they don’t spend over 80% of the profits on annoying advertising? When are people going to wake up to the opportunity to change the paradigm of Corporate America and their cycle of abuses altogether? We can change the world, if we weren’t already so conditioned by them to ignore the possibilities.

Put old, outdated, pre-programmed, knee-jerk reactions aside for a moment and think about who you’re giving your money to when you pay your phone bill. Who is going to make the billions of dollars on this coming VoIP revolution in telecommunications, already a $1.3 trillion a year industry? This time it can be you and your family, and no this isn’t a joke, it’s not a scam, and it’s not a pyramid scheme. This exact business structure is being taught at the University of Illinois, and billionaires like Richard Branson (Virgin Vie) and Warren Buffet (The Pampered Chef) both now own these types of companies. 175,000 people per week in the U.S. are turning to direct marketing as a career choice; what other choice do we have if we want to be able to retire before we’re 95?

This one’s different, folks, not just because the company is a tried and true system, but because we’re talking about a utility: almost everyone will always need a phone. Do a little research on VoIP, and you’ll quickly learn this is coming, whether we like it or not. There will be tens if not hundreds of millions of new users just in the next 24 to 36 months. Land lines and even cell phones, as muni WiFi starts going up, will soon be a thing of the past. That’s already been decided by the Powers-That-Be; the only question that remains is whether we’ll just make them richer, or find a way to profit from it ourselves.

Stand up against the evils of Corporate America; get your phone service for free, help your community get it for free, and earn some rewards on what it sure to be the fastest, most revolutionary paradigm shift in telecommunications since the cell phone.

Read my About page or FAQs; send me an email. Do a little research. Do you have the power and the vision to change your mind, your future, and perhaps even the world?

A New Paradigm

The first time I heard about Liberty International and this VoIP opportunity, I had to go home, get out my Google fingers and do a lot of meditating. I had been pleading with the Universe to give me an opportunity for prosperity, but way out here in rural Big Island Hawaii, that’s kind of hard to find, unless you’re already rich. But like everyone else, I tend to be skeptical and leery of these kinds of businesses - even if I like the products, the idea of actually telling my friends about something like this wasn’t really in my nature.

I’ll tell you, not to brag, but just to be honest, I come from a very well-educated background and am a very quick learner - and I’m old enough to have been around the block and few times and like most people, am hard to win over, especially when it comes to business and money.

But the more I learn about this company and the compensation plan, the more excited I get. Some companies, once you start reading all the fine print, you start getting bummed out or even pissed off about what you got yourself into. This one is exactly the opposite. I have never been more glad I went with my instincts and gave it a shot. The support is outstanding; what an incredible group of people this is – all of whom, who I have met, are already successful business people – and like me, the more they all learn, the more incredibly, happily surprised they are at how quickly the money starts to roll in, with relatively so little work. How many times do I have to say this: THIS IS NOT YOUR MOTHER’S AMWAY. We’re talking HUGE bonuses and commissions. Man am I glad I got in early – and IT’S STILL EARLY.

I’m happy to explain more to you if you ask. But I want everyone out there in blog world to know: THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT. The business model is UNIQUE - and the product is a UTILITY. The combination couldn’t be more outstanding.

I’m going to make a fortune and retire very, very early. :)

Wireless and Mobile VoIP

If you’re following VoIP news you’re probably also following news about municipal wireless networks, or muni WiFi. San Francisco, Houston and other cities had been slated to begin setting up their networks with Earthlink, which recently pulled out of the deals; big news in the tech world. However, as this article points out, muni WiFi is far from dead. This technology is progressing so quickly that cheaper, efficient models are already becoming available, including the powerful long-range WiMax. Keep paying attention to these developments. Once WiFi starts really going in and they work out all the kinks, VoIP will experience a SURGE of new users. And if you can help people get it for free, AND show them how to even make some money on it, you’ll be a hero.

Another future development that pertains to VoIP, which will also snowball as muni-WiFi gets going, is mobile Wifi. There’s a lot of talk out there right now about dual-use handsets, that can switch between cellular and wireless networks. Some companies are even coming out with WiFi-only mobile phones, but most tech researchers think the market for those is a bit farther out. However there is no doubt that eventually, this will be the technology of the day all around. And who knows – developments in technology seem so sped up these days one hesitates to predict how quickly these changes will take place.

Liberty International in Hawaii

Liberty International first came to the Big Island of Hawaii around May of 2007.  Before that, their VoIP market had only been presented to southern California and Chicago to a great extent.  So we are VERY fortunate that Tanya Aynessazian, who had come from a successful business career in Chicago, moved back to Puna with her family, along with this new opportunity.  You probably don’t know that Puna is one of the lowest rent districts in the nation; perhaps the poorest area in the whole of our state.  Tanya was also tenacious enough to get J.R. Read, one of Liberty International’s founding members, to come out and train her; he fell in love with the place (who wouldn’t!) and he’s still here today, busy training and supporting the members of our little community.  What a stroke of luck for a place where for the most part, Hawaii’s own people can barely afford to live here anymore with the rising costs of real estate and taxes.

Within 90 days, in PUNA ALONE, MIND YOU, they’d generated a half a million dollars in sales and paid out over $300,000 in bonuses and commissions.  It’s just getting to Kona now, where I live, and I know it will quickly spread to Oahu, Maui, the other islands and of course…the MAINLAND!  If you live on the mainland, please understand VoIP is going to transform the landscape of telecommunications in the next 24 months.  This isn’t selling vitamins or bath oils - this is a UTILITY that EVERYONE will have.   And the market is still WIDE OPEN in most areas.  GO GRAB IT!!  Put your fears and old business paradigms aside.  You may not have this opportunity again in life.
